Summary

Bermuda’s Living Reefs Foundation (LRF) develops new techniques to preserve and restore damaged coral reefs by rearing young corals in its land-based hatchery and planting them on the reef. LRF plans to expand its well-tested restoration techniques by increasing its monitoring and evaluation capacity through georeferencing photogrammetry. Within 12 months, Bermuda will have 4 trained scientists (3 LRF; 1 government) and 3D computer modelling infrastructure. This ontributes to safeguarding Bermuda’s corals and their coastal protection role supported by the Government.
